*gasp* she's actually posting
so i know i've been neglecting lj but that's usually a sign that i've been busy. which i have - wicked busy.
i've been working more than full time and when you add in the commuting time, then i'm gone for at least 11 hours during the day on weekdays. and because i get up before 7 and work all day and don't get home until after 6pm then i'm ususally too exhausted to do anything at night after work. usually too tired to even eat dinner (mostly cuz i'm just not hungry and i've learned the best way to maintain my weight is to not eat when i'm not hungry.)
but anyways, my evening activity is usually limited to laundry or possible going out to a movie. i've seen pirates 2 and the devil wears prada with catherine. i would say that of all people i've been hanging out with catherine the most this summer. she and i just get along so great and it's been wonderful to be able to hang with her all the time. even if it's just to bake cupcakes while my mother bitches at me. i brought her up to maine with me to my grandparents' house which was probably the most relaxing weekend i've had all summer. my grandparents were great to us and it was nice to have a peaceful, relaxing weekend, even if i did have to drive 5 hours each way to get up there.
i spent 3 weekends in maine this month which was cool. my grandparents always try so hard to make everyone enjoy their time up there so it was nice to be able to get up there on weekends since i couldn't take time off to spend a week there like i usually do.
this summer i have been completely boy-free. i have not met any new guys this summer and i guess that's just how it's gonna go when i'm at home. catherine and i tried going out to a club in boston once but all the guys were short, greasy and a bit creepy. there have been a couple of guys that i already know that i got sort of interested in but nothing came of any of it.
the rest of my weekends are pretty much gone. i'll be on the boat the next 2 weekends and then the weekend after that i'm packing and then i go back to school on monday. bye bye summer.
