The table is here, all shiny oak mission style and steeped in family love. I'm sitting at it right now, basking in the joy of having it and no longer feeling ashamed to have guests for a meal. Just want to get a couple of more chairs to use until my aunt buys her new ones and I can bring the other two down. Believe it or not, my kitchen is actually plenty big enough to accommodate it...I could even put in the leaf and seat six or eight people around it if I wanted to.

It seems like such a small thing, but it makes a big difference in my level of happiness.
