Life is good (again) today....got home a little while ago from a wonderful time at justducky2204's housewarming, had a great talk with my dad, and now I'm off to the grocery store so I can eat all healthy this week. I didn't make it to Target on Friday, but maybe I'll rip apart the crawlspaces tonight and take stock of what is in there to see if I need any other storage-related things and go over there tomorrow. I can also figure out if there is anything in there I can a) sell/give away or b) throw away. Downsizing is good. I love days like this...
As get older, I realize more and more how the many gifts my father has shared have made it possible for me to grow into the person that I am. He wouldn't believe me if I told him this, but his perspective and support are as important now in his self-proclaimed role as "senior advisor" as they ever were when he was...well, when he just called himself my dad. I am truly blessed to have parents that I can relate to as an adult, who can provide insight without giving orders.
