the nutcracker was amazing! i love getting all fancy and enjoying a good cultural experience with friends. the "after party" was great too. okay, so maybe it wasn't a party per say, but it was fun. Femi, Kayla, Karen,and I went to Magnolia cafe when we all gave up on trying to go see the tree at zilker. At this point, Femi took to saying "Bitches" really loud and in this hilarious voice. needless to say, the rest of us tried to imitate her all the way home and good times were had by all. in conclusion, "Barbies are out, Bitches are in!!!"- femi
This morning, jonathon and i traded gifts. i was thouroughly surprised that he actually remembered this time. good for him. he gave me a mitch hedberg CD/DVD which rocks hard core and i got him just a bunch of random stuff like magnets, kleenex and root beer....which he seemed to like. anyways, he also surprised me by showing up with this big bottle in hand and said "we're cracking open the bubbly!!!". so, after we opened gifts, we drove around town, listening to mitch and drinking some very tasty italian soda. i think it was a good way to part seeing as how jonathon leaves for his annual migration to chicago today. i know i'm probably better off without him emotionally, but whenever he's not around for extended periods of time i tend to get myself into trouble (ex: last year he came back to find me dating an ex convict). so i dunno. we'll see how this goes.
