pointy shoes
so i never write in this thing anymore, but here goes.
i am still beyond happy. i am thankful for what i have too.
work is still awesome. i didn't think i would love this job this much after 2 years, but i do. it is still one of the best jobs around i would argue. and even on the days when i start to get burned out, i remember the kids, and why i do this. because i want kids to have it better than i did. because i want them to be better people. and i persevere.
home and stuff is awesome. i love living with dory. i have had experiences living with friends that have not turned out well so having this be as awesome as it is, is such an amazing thing. we cook, we watch project runway, we play videogames and we genuinely enjoy each other's company. i am lucky.
kevin is... amazing. and i know, i use it all the time to describe him. but when you wake up everyday and are thankful that you are blessed to have such a phenomenal person in your life, you are amazed. i am truly thankful that i found someone that complements me so perfectly and who sees me for everything i am and everything i am not. and in the words of the movie juno "he still thinks the sun shines out my ass."
beyond the awesome, there are moments of frustration. but for the most part, those moments are petty and fleeting. in the end, i am surrounded by people who love and support me and those that don't, well, i can respect that.
it is wierd for me to realize that all of my friends and i are at different points in our lives and we all want different things, but we can come together and be the family that some of us so desperately need sometimes. some are buying houses, some are having babies, some are planning weddings, some are moving in, some are just beginning, some are working, some are in school, but for brief moments in time, in a phone call, a text, a visit, a party, a drink... we are there for each other. and i am the luckiest person in the world for having that.
on closing notes, i am gonna be busy in the next couple months so here is a list of important things coming up for me.
march 15th - party like a rockstar at my house.
march 17th - st. patty's day madness
april 3rd - dory's b-day
april 20th - my birthday
april 27th - kevin goes to LA for 2 weeks.
april 30th - jimmy eat world/paramore
may 9th - recognition night
may 17th - orlando for 4 days.
keep in touch people, make plans. i want to see you all.
