This painting's about 4' x 5', and is due next week. All of this got done today in about three hours.
There's lots of things to fix, but I'm liking the colors on it so far. Should be a lot of food in this one.
Since the theme is "Self Portrait in Reflection," *eyeroll* I'm using the old adage of "You are what you eat" as my concept.
Anyway, while they're my teeth, I'm not taking the whole conceptual root of the painting too seriously. I have more fun when I come out with something that looks good, then have to go back and explain to myself how it all magically actually IS related to the concept. Less stress that way. With two or three more workdays to go on the painting, I better keep working fast.
Went to Aaron Brothers to pick up an application and some matte boards... if the coming show happens to want all my drawings, I think I'll be selling a kidney to pay for framing.
I can't write coherent entries lately. I don't let that stop me, though.
