(no subject)
i totally underestimate how much i love muffins and soup. they're so tasty!!! i'm getting in a harvesty mood... something at work smelled like pumpkin and now i have a huge hankering to make some pumpkin bread! mmmm
i'm pathetic. i spent most of my time at home last night thinking of reasons why i shouldn't get up today to go to auditions... i mean they were pretty valid reasons 1)Metamorphoses: I don't want to be naked on stage (actually i don't really care, but it's an excuse, remember?) 2) Prather Family of Theatres general audition: I don't want to go to Florida for theatre... ever... 3) The IT Girl: the only part I could play in this musical fits my description except the part about "effortless sex appeal" bwah haha 4) The Glass Menagerie (which will be on Broadway with ETHAN YUMMY HAWKE): There's no possible way that I would even be seen for this audition. Not only is it at the Actor's Equity Assoc. building (staunchiest people ever against letting non-eq performers into auditions) but they don't even require to have anything prepared because sides are available. Aka... everyone and they're mom is going to go. Soooooooo, I slept in. And it was wonderful.
in other words, the auditioning world isn't treating me very well. The last 5 auditions I have attempted have not let me in due to the insane crowds of both equity and non equity actors. soo, i decided that i need to start going for smaller productions to build up my resume, so i sent out my headshot and whatnot via email to a bunch of places looking for non eq actresses... and found out later through an email full of bitter HATRED that my attachments (for whatever reason) were crashing people's computers. yeah... THAT's going to get me cast. sooo I sent out hard copies in biggie envelopes and only put one measly stamp on them because that's what a certain ahemroomateahem told me to do. i got ONE back like a week ago that said that i was short on postage. so NONE of my emails or mailings got to ANYONE AHHHGUSGIENGNEOHWI vent vent vent
my parents are coming in two weeks! yayyyy! i also got my plane ticket home for christmas already. i'll be back on the 21st and leave the 31st. it should be interesting!

boys are surprisingly less stupid in new york than in california. i mean, no offense... but they actually... calll... and open doors for you... and buy you drinks... take initiative... stuff like that. but really, boys have not been on my bad list since i got here, and for me, that's pretty amazing!
i haven't heard natalies voice since she left for sweden like two months ago. meh :(
