Answering Some Dragon*Con Questions
We (piraterogue and psychemarlies) have been getting a lot of questions and have been told there are a lot of rumors about our working Dragon*Con. To clear everything up...
In May, after finding out about psychemarlies's surgery and being told it would be able to happen before D*C, we made the decision to move back to Tech Ops from Security. For those who do not remember, we were Tech Ops staff but when Adam was made Director, we were moved to Security. The easiest way to answer many of the questions is to post our mutual Letter of Resignation, dated May 28th.

Subject: Piraterogue and Psyche
We are writing you in regards to a situations that we have found ourselves in. Kevin's family is planning on attending Dragon*Con and there will be much family drama if an acceptable amount of time is not spent with them.
Psyche is having surgery and we just found out late this afternoon that it will be in July or August instead of after Dragon*Con like we planned. We cannot predict what her recovery time will be or how long it will take her to bounce back and adjust from her surgery. Psyche had been offered a position with another department and due to the recent discovery with the surgery scheduling, Psyche has decided to take this position as it suits her talents plus gives greater flexibility with recent health developments and in caring for Navarre with his diagnosis. Knowing Psyche like we all do, Kevin has decided to work with her to make her transition and recovery is less stressful and she does not push herself and overdo it.
Kevin needs to be with her at this time and it would be unfair to work Security when his focus would understandably be elsewhere.
We are sorry we were not able to give prior notice but we only found out about the surgery scheduling window late this afternoon, and with her health issues, the sooner she has the surgery, the better. With the way insurance companies are and the current economy, it is best to have the surgery while the availability is still there.
