Hey people! I'm Puff teh Cookie Pirate and ... yeah. I;m a personal friend and accomplice of tealbee. Go read her journal 'cause it's more interesting then mine... and it's got some kick arse literature that I helped her come up with. It's called AR and it'll be very famous some day, so jump on the band wagon now before it becomes cliched.
Short overview of characters (& sibs)
BACKGROUND INFO FOR THOSE NEW TO A.R.-
These stories are futuristic, set in the A.R. (After Reformation) years, post-apocolyptic. The planet Earth is protected by a set of fifty meteor-shaped bases constantly circling it. These bases are for the federation known as EDGE.
The characters in this fiction are the trainees of the Alpha Centauri Sector:
Sherman "Dice" Harper: He's the son of a known gang-leader, Jackson Harper, and beautiful Mexican singer, Amia Gonzales.((Dice is Bee's baby))
Kaiyin "Kai" Ichikawa: Kai grew up in Hanoi, Vietnam with his Japanese father and Vietnamese mother, who later abandoned the family and moved to America, where she married a cruel man by the name of Marcus Hudson. Marc emotionally abused Kai when he was a young boy, and it left mental scars. Kai has self-esteem problems, to put it lightly.
Maureen "Lav" and Narcissia "Onyx" Lenoir: Twin sisters from Canada. Lav, the graduate with a blackbelt, is always butting heads with Dice, due to their dominate personalities, while Onyx is the calm, almost lazy pilot (with hidden control issues).
Izaak "Zak" Knueton (his parents had a cruel sense of humor): The resident emo, though with good reason. Zak's thoroughly convinced he is going to hell for the unintentional death of his younger brother.
Cornelia "Cori" Rice: The medic and peacemaker of the team. She is both an orphan and a cripple, having lost her leg (and remaining family) in a horrible accident.
Auberon Gray: The commander of the unorthodox squad. Nobody really listens to him until after it's too late.
ALSO NOTE: Dice and Kai are a couple, and both guys. Flee homophobes!
Other Characters:
-Sayako Ichikawa, Kai's older sister ("Did you know that your eyes, like, dilate? Ohmigod!")
-Prewitt Lenoir, Lav and Onyx's older brother ("Let's all laugh at the French stereotype in the beret.")
-Ria Fuentes, member of another sector ("Dice, we need to start a club, for gay Hispanics in the EDGE federation! I'll make the flyers!")
-Ruki Toyama, Kai's "stalker" ("I've even been taking special anti-vitamins, to stunt my growth!")
