In September, Noel and I went to Las Vegas to hang out with his parents. We didnt really gamble, but we did go to the Strip. We rode several roller coasters and some rides on top of the Stratosphere. We took a helicopter ride over Hoover Dam. We drove to Mt. Zion National Park (upon Troy's recommendation). That was really cool. We rode horses there through a river and into the backwoods, very fun. On that road trip we went to the north rim of the Grand Canyon. The north rim is pretty deserted and inaccessable during winter apparently. We returned to the south rim of the Grand Canyon from Vegas in this small 19 passenger plane. Then we took a helicopter into the canyon, then a boat ride down the Colorado River. After that, they handed us lunch and herded us into this bus that took us to Guano Point. The airport and this place are on an Indian Reservation and completely untouristy. The building that was the airport we landed in at the rim was no bigger than my living room. Guano Point had picnic tables, but was utterly deserted. Noel and I explored while most of the other 15 or so people on the trip stayed at the tables. We found this awesome deserted mine with rusted pulleys and signs and broken out windows right at the edge of the canyon. It was incredible and SO worth going on!

Other than that, nothing new going on. Noel's currently on tour with Jumbos Kill Crane and having a great time. You can see his journal for the dates, or click here "http://www.tonedeaftouring.com/dates/jum.htm" When he gets back, he'll have been to more states than me and I had thought 33 was a lot! Of course, I've still got him beat in countries! (that total is 14)
