Holidays and stuff
First thing. I'm mad at my Mum's boss. No further explanation. Just needed to say.
Second thing - I'm holidaying in a cottage from tomorrow! Yey. Near Glastonbury too. Guess where I'm going...?
Third thing - You remember I was applying for a PhD? Well, I got accepted to write it, and I also got given a scholarship to do it! I found out last week, but couldn't believe it, so I didn't want to say anything till I got a letter. Which I got this morning, so now I can say it!
I don't know how I feel. I DO want to do it. Quite badly actually. I wish I was more excited, but I'm just numb. Which seems to be my major emotion at the moment. Veering between rage and apathy. *sigh* Perhaps I'm just tired. Need a holiday.
But I get to do my academic thing for another 4 years! I get to write a big-arse book! I stay safely cocooned from the real world for a while yet. So that means you've got to come visit me guys! And I can show you the city :)
You know something, I like being at uni a lot. I like myself a lot more when I'm there. A lot of the time I think my friends at home don't think I'm that interesting, but I really think the people at uni do. Or am I romanticizing? Grass is always greener, as they say.
Anyways, I'll shut up now. Wish it wasn't raining. But the packing is all done, and I only have to go out for my mate's leaving do tonight. I just hope Mum doesn't want us to leave at stupid-o'clock in the morning. Blegh.
