The Rylans: A Sims Legacy

Dec 08, 2012 23:30

I'm back after a two-year hiatus! I finally have a lot of free time (well, until March when my first baby is due!!).
What better way to re-join the Sims community than with a legacy? This may or may not turn into an actual story as time goes on, so beware.
Please forgive my lack of CC. Working on it!

Meet John Rylan. He grew up near Barnacle Bay but moved inland to Sunset Valley for a
change of scenery. He's adventurous, brave, athletic, friendly, and a schmoozer.

John's humble abode, 55 Water Lily Lane. Affordable, simple, with room to expand.
Growing up with the sea outside his window, he'll have to get used to the lack of a view.

First things first: a job. I rolled for him to become a Private Investigator. He looks the type.

Viola!

Good idea, John. Better work on those logic skills since I failed to give you the trails that would
help you the most with your job.

John was just getting comfortable when he received a call for his first case.

We sure do.

Nice house! Hopefully this Agnes pays well.

John agrees to hack to Morgana Wolff's computer... for a fee.

The next morning!

The Wolff residence. Why does John have the feeling that most of his clients will be rich ladies
blackmailing each other?

Time to get to work.

Success!

After reporting back to Agnes, he gets a call from Ayesha Ansari, who wants to blackmail
Leighton Sekemoto but doesn't say why. The less John knows, the better.

It's a dirty job, this one.

John finds nothing worthy of blackmail.

Blair Wainwright has a similar problem. She wants to blackmail one of her own roommates.
What is it with this town?!

She waits awkwardly on the doorstep while John goes through their mail. Kinda weird if you ask me,
but he won't complain as long as he gets paid.

John finally catches a break. Things at home have been severely neglected.

Like the bills.

John decides to look for chicks at the Summer Festival. Why not show off your gluttonous side
by entering a food contest?

That's attractive.

And you didn't even win. For shame, John.

Burn off those calories!

Alas, he ended up being stalked by Judy Bunch. We were both thankful when it started to rain,
even if it meant getting water in his ears!

John tries his hand at online dating. He's so busy with work, after all.

He optimistically pens this pretty gal a message.

Don't take it personally?

Whatever. John decides to concentrate on himself.

And it works like a charm! Morgana Wolff comes crawling. Just don't tell her that you broke
into her home and hacked her computer and you'll be good.

"Um, hello? I'm married and pregnant! What kind of girl do you think I am?"

Mixed signals, much?

Molly French isn't married and pregnant. And she's a flirt! This should be easy.

But first, she needs John to go through Bessie Clavell's house. That biatch has been trying to
hack into the library database for years.

Sigh.

Turns out Molly was right. After going through Bessie's mail, John calls to give Molly the news.
And to invite her for dinner.

Molly shows up right after work.

Flowers! What a nice surprise! She really is making this easy for you, isn't she, John?

John seems impressed. I guess we'll find out!

sims 3, legacy, rylan
