I want my flu to shoo!!

So, I have the flu. Luckily, it's not swine.

Yesterday, I was at Tarwater Elementary subbing for kindergarten. Throughout the day, I was fine. I didn't feel sick or anything. Then later that night, my family and I went out to Buca di Beppo for my mom's birthday dinner. We pretty much indulged...oink oink. We had bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegarette, fried calamari and squid (the squid's actually pretty good!), mozzarella/garlic bread, Caesar salad, penne pasta w/ alfredo sauce and chicken. Then my mom got a free cake...and we all shared the pieces of cake. I also had a strawberry Italian soda. It was a pretty good dinner...considering I was feeling overly bloated afterwards. When I got home, I started feeling sick. My stomach was hurting and my throat felt funny. I was thinking...ok, I ate too much, that's what I get. Then I asked my mom if she was feeling sick and she told me she was feeling fine. Ok , maybe it was just me. So, I took a Tums and went to bed. My stomachache started to supress. Throughout the night, my body was aching and I was tossing and turning. Then this morning, I woke up with an aching body and my throat sore, feeling very tired. I was very out of it durning work...my energy was pretty much sucked out of me.

After work, I came home and plopped myself on the couch and watched TV. While I was sitting there, I checked my phone and my mom sent me a text message to call her ASAP. So I called her right away to see what was up and if everything is ok. She asked me if I was at Tarwater yesterday and yes, I was there. Then she told me that they had a case of the swine flu and it had to be shut down til May 8. Then she advised me to go to the clinic and get checked out to see if there was anything serious. So, right after I got off the phone, I drove down to the Walgreens clinic. I only had to wait 5 min. Then I told the doctor my symptoms and I got checked out. So, I have cough and viral contact...meaning a flu. The doctor didn't say anytning about it being swine or anything. My temperature was normal, but I had somewhat of low oxygen because I have a shortness of breath. So, I was told to rest at home for a while and advised that I take 7 days off of work...yeah, like I can afford that. Hopefully, I'll get better by Monday and return back to work.
