1098 - First Crusade: Massacre of Ma'arrat al-Numan - Crusaders breach the town's walls and massacre about 20,000 inhabitants. After finding themselves with insufficient food, they resort to cannibalism.
1963 - Kenya gains its independence from the United Kingdom. (meaning my birthday is celebrated as INDEPENDENCE DAY ha ha ha)
2000 - The United States Supreme Court releases its decision in Bush v. Gore
TWO BIRTHS- (okay so i put one more)
1805 - William Lloyd Garrison, American abolitionist
1915 - Frank Sinatra, American singer and actor
1923 - Bob Barker, American television game show host
ONE DEATH-
1212 - Geoffrey, Archbishop of York (simply because the dude died on 12-12-1212)
