Hi!
I don't usually do this. I like to post fics, or at least chapters of fics, which are nice looking, easy to read, cleaned-up and complete.
But this time I'm going to show you something that I've been working on for over a year. I call it "Army Dean" though the actual title is "Whatever Happened to Dean Forester?"
What happened to me here

*LOVES*
Aw, thank you! I think the same when I see something you've written!
And you're not going to write both because...?
I think I am going to still write both. But my probelem is every time I get them out and look at them, there are so many ways to go with each, that I'm kind of frozen.
I love them both and I love what you've put poor Dean through
Must hurt Dean! *LOL*
(though the idea of him reenlisted put my hyper little h/c brain into overdrive with possibilities)
Oh I've definitely thought of some scenarios with each of them being an Army wife in one way or another.
I think if I had to pick one or the other in terms of which Gilmore Girl he interacts with, I'd actually pick Rory. Not because of any reason except this: Rory needs to have the wake up call in regards to how awesome Dean is far more than Lorelai. I am a sucker for fics where she has to get how much she missed out on by not staying with him.
I do agree with that! In fact, I have the idea of a fic with Rory wanting Dean back and Dean completely NOT going for it. And Rory actually coming to realization that Dean is his own person, he's not her 'back-up' boyfriend who'll always be there after she's gone and had her adventures with her more 'fun' boyfriends. She realizes that she always kind of had it in the back of her mind that she could have Dean anytime she wanted him, and that when she was really ready to settle down, marry and have a family, then she'd go for him. And realizing how much she took it for granted and how much she took HIM for granted. I never thought of including that in this one, but I could put it in. I'll have to think about that.
What would you think about a scene where Rory comes home, and there's Dean in her Mom's house and she's really glad to see him and turns from just being glad to being kind of flirty and Dean is just very politely fending her off and then Lorelai comes home from work and, not seeing Rory, gives Dean one of those kisses where you can actually see their clothes melting off, and internally Rory is like 'OH! . . . .well shit. There is such a thing as too late.'
That said, I don't care which you do--as long as you write more!
Thank you, that is so sweet!
