That reminded me of my favorite Brad Paisley song, "Whiskey Lullaby."

He finally drank his pain away a little at a time, but he never could get drunk enough to get her off his mind . . .

Well, the rest of the song doesn't have a happy ending. The guy eventually drinks himself dead because he can't live with the pain of losing the woman he loves.

We found him with his face down in the pillow, with a note that said "I'll love her 'til I die."

And when we buried him beneath the willow, the angels sang a whisky lullaby.

His girl, who had cheated on him and broke his heart, is driven to despair by his death.

The rumors flew, but nobody knew how much she blamed herself.

And eventually, like him,

She put that bottle to her head, and pulled the trigger.

In death, she reveals that she still loved him, and hated that she'd hurt him.

We found her with her face down in the pillow, clingin' to his picture for dear life.

But in the, perhaps they are reunited.

We laid her next to him beneath the willow, while the angels sang a whiskey lullaby.

Overdramatic, yes, but still very Rory/Dean! *LOL* What album is it from?

Mud on the Tires. The titular song is also pretty good (and, if you ask me, it has a bit of a Rory/Dean feel to it, too).
