(no subject)
Now, as they say, we are cooking with gas.
By that I mean the boiler is now working and not that the cooker is fixed. The cooker always worked so I have always been cooking with gas. Well, actually I wasn't as we were staying at the Brewins so technically I've been cooking with electricity. So yeah, now I'm cooking with gas both literally and metaphorically even though I could only do it literally but even then didn't.
I'll start again.
The boiler has now been fixed. Hooray! We were panicking last night as it was almost 6pm and nobody had been (again) but British Gas turned up with minutes to spare. Apparently there is a bit of a shortage on with regards to boiler parts; ours was eventually tracked down in Macclesfield. So if anybody else's boiler breaks in the immediate future expect the same rigmarole as we did.
I get to go to Belgium with work a week tomorrow. Hoo...oh. It's a 6.30 flight so I'm going to have to leave the house at 5am at the latest. That aint going to be fun. I've then got a 5 hour meeting and a flight back landing at 8pm. I'm going to be one tired kitty. The travel time between the airport and the office is 40 minutes so hopefully I'll get a nap then. Not looking forward to that. I like naps.
