So the Fall Season is slowly beginning and it looks like Prison Break is the first show back this year for a new season that I actually care about. If this episode is any indication of the quality of show we're going to be getting this year, or any indication of the quality of shows in general this Fall, then I am going to be a very happy tube watcher. So much happened in the first episode of the second season that I don't even know where to begin.
I guess first of all, we'll start out with the fact that
William Fichtner is a great addition to the cast. The other side needed someone as smart as Michael working for the other side, and Fictner is a scary, smart dude. I won't spoil anything, since I know there's a couple of people who read this that DVR the series, but secondly there's two people that I assumed were dead who aren't, and one that's been on the brink of being killed for so long that it was just a matter of time until they made a stupid mistake and bit it.
I'm really enjoying how the season is playing out, and showing that Michael had even more of a plan that we originally thought. Also, now that we've got Fichtner's character figuring out Scofield's plan there's a lot more added drama. Then there's also Fichtner's character vs. Bellick in FBI vs local fun. I also liked the speech at the beginning talking about John Wilkes Booth. How the flight response causes changes in character. Great foreshadowing for the rest of the season.
