Replacing a Piece of my Heart...

Although my computer's drives, mouses and monitors have failed me over the years, the one thing that never has is my 1999 Microsoft Natural Keyboard Elite. I stand by it and its sweet, sweet touch to this very day, even in the face of 95% of the public telling me that it looks stupid, and the other 5% telling me to switch to a Mac. Now, the one thing I didn't order with the new computer was a keyboard, mainly due to the fact that there was no upgrade to the a Natural varient.

I'm sure that it is, without a doubt, the most comfortable keyboard in existance, and so I scoured the net to see if I could find one, still in the factory packaging, from back in the day. One that I could unwrap when my new computer came, and then, after many happy years together, give my old Elite a proper Viking Funeral.

Alas, no results.

So, I had to do the next best thing, upgrade. Thanks to Circuit City's In-Store pick-up plan I'm now the proud owner of a Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000, the fourth generation of Microsoft Natural keyboards. This version has Cushioned Palm Rests, a Zoom Slider that I look forward to utilizing in Photoshop, as well as a new layout for all of the Hot Keys that makes even more sense than the Elite.

I'll write up a full review once I start using it on the new computer.
