Desolation Greaseball

Nov 21, 2005 10:27

I just got back from a weekend trip to Columbus/Ft. Benning, Georgia, to protest the School of the Americas. Quite the weekend--20,000 people, many radicals and also many inspiring people, many Jesuits, and many minutes spent on a bus. For those of you who remember/care, I saw and talked to Gerardo Cajamarca, the anti-Coca-Cola activist from Colombia who Progressive Club brought to AHS last year. He remembered me and said he feels the movement is gaining strength. It was inspiring to see him there.

In less than two days I will be home for Thanksgiving--a nice thought. I look forward to seeing everyone, cracking jokes, telling stories, and eating candy. My goal is to win the galloping gobbler in the Turkey Bowl on Friday.

I will end this post with a quote from "I Bury the Living," a horrible, horrible movie about a possessed cemetery map: "We'd better go to lunch...or get married!"
