Self-indulgent post

O! M! G!

I just woke up from the most amazingly self-indulgent, nerdtacular, most-genre/franchise-tie-in-arrific dream ever.

(But no nudity)

I didn't know fever dreams could be awesome!

I don't think i can truly do it justice.

To start off, it was all at this place which was a store... and a bar... and a restaurant... and it was on one end of the underside of a major suspension bridge. Think Brooklyn Bridge location, Golden Gate size and... but art deco for style.

There was the long part involving going through photo albums and finding cool pictures of cool stuff my friends did at Eric's high school graduation party. (None of which happened in real life)

There something resemblinga Tupperware party, but with cool lightsaber replicas. With the photo albums. Also, there was this weird tie-in with the beginning of the movie Independence Day. Of course, the version of the movie in my dream bore little to no resemblance to the actual movie.

There was the worst pun anybody's subconscious ever pulled on him.

There were Jedi and there was a cross between Body Snatchers and The Thing.

And people were discussing it:
"Dude, were his ears like, not yet fully formed yet? That's a total giveaway!"
"Yeah, thank god they got no pride or modesty. They ever discover the high-tech camouflage device called 'the hat' we're screwed!"

Also there was a surprise cameo return of Brian Cox playing Professor [mumble] from the first movie. You know, the first movie… of... um.... Dan's Dream.

I think there was a Clerks II crossover in there as well. But I haven't seen it yet, so I don't know.

Oh, and there was some really awesome Art Deco steelwork. Yes, my dream was nerdy and gay!

There was a pair of six shooter replicas with the cool lightsaber replica blade coming out of them, allowing one to be a cowboy Jedi, I guess. More importantly, much later in the dream, I realized it was the worst pun somebody's subconscious ever hit them with. Some people don't like to fence with straight-handled swords. Some people prefer... wait for it... pistol grip swords. My subconscious hates me.

And I never saw it coming.
