I have my heart's desire.
For several years, all I have ever wanted was for Will to feel the same way about me that I felt about him.
I was worried that it was never going to happen and that I would end up married to someone that I didn't love. It was a very near thing. My father had me practically married off to Commodore Norrington. I didn't want to marry him because it wouldn't have been fair to either one of us. I didn't love James. I loved Will. However, I was under the impression that Will didn't care about me in the same fashion that I cared about him. He was my best friend and it seemed that he was content to leave it at that. It seemed that all he wanted was for us to be friends.
Then I was kidnapped by the pirates. It was Will who found a way to come after me. Will risked everything to find and rescue me.
There has never been anything that I have desired more than to have a good man to love me and accept me for who I am.
