anime, art, hang-out galore
Yesterday at the anime convention was interesting to say the least. I wasn't expecting much going in (especially after last time), but I did enjoy myself. The stands were okay... nothing really jumped out screaming 'buy me!' - except the wicked cute hats that I knew I would never wear. I had the most fun just watching and taking pictures of all the cosplayers. Some of them are kind of scary... Oo* (like grown men dressed at Princess Peach). Other than that it was mostly $30 to get a cool name tag and support my boyfriend's nerdom - which I do with pride. :D If I'm free sometime I'll put some of the more interesting pictures up...
**Side note: There were 2 Utena girls (Utena and Shi-whore-e (:P), Edward Scissorhands, and both Chi's. They were my favs.**
I went to the small art ceremony at Montserrat afterwards. It was really small and quite quiant. I got the shake the Mass Representative's and the head of the post office's hand, as well as get a spiffy reward. It's kind of funny that my biggest art award I've received was from the post office in a dinky art show. However, I'm not complaining. I met one of the judges after the ceremony and he basically told me I won because I'm whimsical, humorous, and creative. Go me!
Then I went over David's with some people. It turned out to be a really small group which was nice. Jon and Megan wouldn't stop making out on the couch... she is so getting pay back - I'm just waiting for the right time to come. Mua ha ha ha. Other than that I mostly hung out with Tim, Sabrina, and Clayton playing odd games or talking nonsense. Much fun to be had. I even got to be loving with David a couple of times without him giving me a grossed out face... yay!
I was suppose to sleepover Christine's house last night, but since she never came - it didn't happen. I called her around 10:00 to see when she'd like me to come over... but her phone was busy. Oh well.
Today is ART DAY and MY DADDY'S BIRTHDAY! So I'll talk to you all later. :D
