Potpourri

Last night, Brian Williams of NBC News used the words "off the hook" during an update on the Iowa caucuses. I don't remember to what he was referring, but it was hilarious.

I would like to start eating yogurt. I hate it, but maybe if I force myself to eat it I might get used to it.

My brother Britton gave me the most delicious tin of peppermint hot chocolate for Christmas. It's made with shavings of peppermint-oil-infused chocolate melted in milk on the stove. I will never drink any other hot chocolate again. I've gone through about half of it already, so I have to find some more soon!

For Christmas, I received a used (but not old) iBook and a new iPod nano. When I tried to set up my iPod, my computer said that the iPod is incompatible with my current operating system, which isn't that old. I have to call Apple tomorrow, because there's no way I'm spending $129 on a new OS just so I can use my iPod. That's ridiculous.

I have a temporary plan for my life: I have decided I need to stop working dead-end jobs. I will go ahead with my plans to take a class at BMCC this semester, and I will continue babysitting and working at Starbucks. Once school is out and my babysitting job is over, I will try to find a job working as a PA or as a receptionist for a production company or something in that vein. Hopefully I can try and work my way up while I'm in school. Hopefully.
