Holidays and Strategy Games

It's been weeks from that rather interesting Halloween party. As I have divulged the information before the event itself, obviously, I was the one dressed as Sherlock Holmes. Although a good suit, it did not compare to what some others wore. If you were there, you couldn't have missed the impressive costumes worn by our Professors (and some students).

We've all been entertained by each and everyone's costume. Except by you, Mr. Ghost. Dragging around the old blanket where you spilled what I hope was spaghetti sauce, popping out under the tables and going 'Boo!', was not amusing at all. (Though I admit that I wish I orchestrated, or at least assisted, in that trick which led to your demise. Still in the clinic, aren't you?)

In any case...

Congratulations to the ones who won for the best costume.

(It would be interesting to find out who would've won for the worst costume.)

The newspaper crew has been hard at work to bring to you reports on the other intriguing things that transpired during the Halloween party. Our intelligence has found out the strangest things, including some interesting information on what happened during the preparation stage. Find out for yourself, read the paper.

Now that Halloween is done, isn't it time to move on to the next important holiday? There's but a month and a week left before Christmas (countdown). Yes, it's that time of the year again.

Are you going home or staying here?

Earning some free time after the party, I got around to playing Age of Empires III. It's a truly amazing game. I enjoyed playing it, maybe even a little too much. I've confined myself to my room to finish the campaigns. At this point in time, I've conquered the game and its expansions. It was not exactly a challenge.

Rest assured that I still finished all assignments for all my classes.

For now...

I challenge you to a game of Age of Empires!

And also...

I challenge you to a game of Risk!
(even if it was invented by a French man)

((ooc: and which I've only played once LOL XD ))

holiday: halloween, newspaper club, game: age of empires, game: risk
