Biohazard

Here is justice, here is punishment

Yo!  It's been another cracking weekend.  A bit of a boozy one - but I do like my boozy weekends!  Especially with friends.

Dave, Susannah and Gav came around for dinner on Saturday and I did a halloween delight.  It was so sinister, in fact, that they were all a little too scared to eat it!  The lads went up to the Grouse for a few pints (and some shite games of pool), to give Suzi and Susie chance to have a natter.

Oh man, Dave and Susannah got me Zombie Strippers for my birthday, so we sat and watched that when we got back, half cut but happy.

On Sunday there was an All Sould day rememberance service at my Grandfather's old church, so I spent the afternoon there.  It was the first time since his death that I've allowed myself to think about him, to remember all the good times and remember what a brilliant Grandad he was.  It was an afternoon well spent.

Then in the evening I met up with Dave and Gav again and we went to watch Biohazard, who were playing at the Corporation.  Man, it was ablast from the past.  I used to listen to them a lot when I was younger - like 17 - and I haven't listened to them for ages.  It amazing how music can just invoke old memories and take you back to a different point in time, when life was so different.  My world has changed so much since then but it was so nice to stand, listen to the music and just feel how life used to be.

The gig was great, the band played songs from their first three albums and hence didn't play any songs I didn't know.  How kind of them!

Tonight Suzi is spending the night at her sister's in Birmingham, eating curry and drinking wine.  So I'm home alone.  I've had a great evening with Zoe (who's been an absolute darling), put her to bed and then, wallowing in my nostalgic mood, I've been looking through old, old photos. Photos from school and university days.  I'd like to upload them once I've installed the scanner Dave lent me, for prosterity and laughs.

Time flies, my friends.  Enjoy it while you can.
