Haha, heya! Actually, I set up a trade to get a sympathy08 for you last night, and usually I'd like to trade special cards for two normal ones because of reasons I listed in my trade policies. So, it's your call ^^ Would you rather wait for the sympathy08, or would you mind trading two cards for the shugo01? (Either way, thank you so much for holding that manikatti for me!)
:) I understand where you're coming from, and I'm not saying you have to agree with me, but I'm just going to explain why I personally think specials should be traded for two normals. You are absolutely correct in saying that for card count, they count as 1. They are also the same as normals in that you can get them from the randomizer counted as 1.
However, the difficulty in obtaining them from means other than the randomizer is what makes them "special." To get them from the Art Shop, you have to turn in an extra crayon. While you can turn in 3 specials to get a choice special, you do not have the option of turning in 2 specials to get a random special; this is on top of the fact that there are fewer special decks, which means it is less likely you will have "extra" specials that you do not want from picking up cards in rewards.
That is not to say that the rewards for special decks are not likewise special. You do get more for mastering a special deck (although not directly twice as much as mastering a normal deck, the relative scarcity of special cards as I mentioned before, makes the choice special card still quite valuable), and of course you can count them for two colors in the portfolio, which means only 20 cards you have to collect versus the usual 40 (offset by the fact that specials are more difficult to obtain).
All that to say, I like the system of special cards set up here, and I myself think they should be treated specially in trades(and I know a few other people do). One thing different about this tcg compared to another I was in where special cards counted as 1 but traded for 2 normals is that this rate is not mandated; like Lucathia said, the rate will be player-set. In many ways this is like the discussion of crayon-card rates, in which opinions will differ.
Like I said, not trying to convince you, but I was convinced by a buddy who talked this through with me, so I hope you understand my reasons for it a little better is all :)
tl;dr (Sorry! I didn't realize it was that long when I was typing it eheh) The sympathy trade came through! Would you be willing to trade the manikatti16 for ?
Yup! Since I'm not collecting any specials right now, I'm fine with swapping one special for another :D Sorry for making things tougher on you, but thank you for understading ^^;;
for shugpo01?
