Until tomorrow, I'll just keep movin' on
I used to work with a woman who, whenever someone would say: "I can't wait until Friday!" or, "Man, I wish it were summer!", would warn against "wishing your life away". And while I'm sure it's true that lots of great things will happen between now and my eagerly anticipated future points - I still can't wait for the weekend, totally look forward to finishing my wretched class on March 26th and long for the spring and summer.
I look forward to getting two nights a week back to myself once my class at UBC is done and get my Saturday "group project day" afternoons back too. I'm eagerly anticipating more daylight after work and the extra energy that always comes with it. I'm excited to see this year's cherry blossoms, and want to sit on patios, and go for gelato in parks, and spend weekend afternoons at the beach. I want to not wear my winter coat anymore and wear sandals instead of shoes and socks.
