Sometimes I try to make my daily photo a picture of something beautiful, or an interesting thing that caught my eye, but other times I have to document a momentous occasion.
As of Sunday, Henry couldn't climb even one stair, and didn't seem interested in trying. Yesterday was the day he took off and climbed the entire staircase before I even realized what was happening (Otto didn't do this until he was eleven months old!). Later in the day, after tucking Otto in, I took Henry downstairs and said "ok, let's find something interesting to take a picture of". While I was grabbing my camera, he made a beeline for the stairs, showing me something interesting.
So, boring composition of a butt aside, here's a picture of the most exciting thing that happened today.
So now we're gating the bottom of the stairs, at least until he figures out how to go down the stairs as well as he can go up.
