Camera shopping! Here's a test shot to see just how close I could get with a 60mm lens on a Nikon D40. Wow.
So, after trying a bunch of cameras, I've narrowed it down to the Nikon D80 and the Sony A300. They seem to be almost the same camera, with a few differences. The Sony is slightly less money ($150 difference), and has the image stabilization in the body instead of the lenses, and has the live view in the articulated LCD screen. The Nikon has WAY more lenses available on the secondary market, takes an SD card (which I already have - I would have to buy a CF card for the Sony), and I just like the styling better.
Decisions, decisions.
