"see that cookie on the plate, it's a circle!"
We had a busy, fun weekend. My dad and stepmom were visiting, and Otto had a blast hanging out with his Grampy and Granhappy. They treated us to new shoes: Otto got a pair of Keen sandals, and I got two pairs (!) of Danskos (Lolita and Lotus, both in black), and got us Mario Kart Wii (OMG, so much fun!).
Otto has started pointing out shapes. Last night at dinner he picked up one of Sean's onion rings and said "circle!" and then this morning, he pointed to the star tattoo on my finger and said "star finger star mama". So cool! Also, he's basically memorized Good Night Moon, and says whole sections of it when we get to the right page. My favorite is when he says "lady whispering hush" where he whispers the word "hush".
And Henry has started really smiling. I can smile at him and he smiles back at me! Oh, I do love the baby smiles so so much. I'm going to try to get a picture soon.
