gross nests!
Russell Stover used to make these Easter candies which Sean loved and called "gross nests" (buttercream covered coconut with jellybeans on top), but they stopped making them a couple of years ago, and Sean has been very sad every Easter since. Today I made him homemade gross nests! Melted white chocolate chips, stirred in food coloring and coconut, blobbed the mess onto waxed paper and added jelly beans. Sean says they are perfect!
I also made two dozen cupcakes which are going to get topped with pink frosting, green coconut and yellow peeps for our multi-family Easter brunch and egg hunt tomorrow. Now I'm off to help Sean tidy up the living room so we can hide some eggs in plain view for Otto.
