I made these two dolls for some friends who had to undergo surgery recently. They're little sympathetic healers, bringing love and "get well soon" energy to the recipients.
This is the first one I made, for
Oliver, a 3 month old baby who had to undergo heart surgery last week. His surgery was a great success, and he seems to be recovering very well, yay!
The second one I made for Elias, who is having surgery to remove Thyroid cancer today.
Each doll is about 10" tall, made of muslin, with yarn hair and a felt appliqued heart, a bandage around the affected area, and a handknit sweater. Elias's doll also got a scarf, because I figured after throat surgery he could use it.
