09.06.07 - driving a tractor in front of the goat walk

Sep 07, 2007 10:29

We went out to both farms yesterday: Lone Pine for goat feeding, tractor-climbing and kettle corn; and Thistledown for produce and jam (for Jennifer's birthday potluck surprise).

That crazy-looking structure behind Otto is Farmer Mike's Goat Walk at Lone Pine Farm. The kids can get goat chow from a vending machine and put it into a tin can on a string/pulley system, use the string to raise the can up to the top level where it dumps the chow into a dish, and then the goats come out along the goat walk and eat the chow.

Meanwhile, I finished up a bunch of paintings yesterday, and have 28 more backgrounds ready to add to today! Progress is good.

Also, none of my pants fit. I'm down to my last pair of regular pants, the too-big hip-huggers, and even those are getting a little tight. Looks like I'll be into the maternity gear by next week, woah.
