07.22.07 - we have a floor!
I completely forgot to take any pictures on Saturday (we were working so furiously!), oh well. Here's one from yesterday, after we finished laying the new floor in the bathroom. I did a little tap dance on it, I was so happy. This morning, Sean and my dad are laying the vinyl flooring on top and setting the tub in place. By the time I get there for the afternoon shift, I think we'll be framing in the new window!
Other moving progress is progressing. We got all the books into the library and cleaned up Otto's room (except the one wall that's being used for sheetrock storage), and Sean finished painting the floor downstairs, so we can finally bring stuff in every time we make a trip over. I finished packing up my studio last night, so I can tote all that stuff over today. Now I seriously need to weed through my clothes before packing those, and I still need to pack up the lab.
We're in the home stretch, though. We're moving in (like, actually living there) on Saturday, and then we have three days to get all the extra bits dealt with and the old house cleaned up. The next 9 days are going to be an insane amount of work, but then we can relax and get all settled in our new place!
