07.08.07 - tower of stuff

Work on the house continues at a crazy pace. My dad and brother are superstars! Danny went back to SF yesterday (after putting in a full day of wiring), and my dad is continuing the work today. Because it's an old house, every time we open something up, we discover something else that needs fixing. Yikes! But I remain confident that we will be able to get this done so that we can move in by the end of the month. We don't really have any other options*, so we have to make it happen!
I finished priming the kitchen yesterday. Today, I'm hoping to get all my edges masked off so I can start painting the yellow.
*Well, I suppose we do have a fall-back position, which is to not move at the end of July. We are in a lease at our current house through the end of September, but we also have a sub-letter lined up who needs to move in August 1 (and it would be pretty fucked up to tell him he has to find another place now). Not to mention, we can't afford to pay double-rent. So it's really not an option.
