04.06.07 - drinking & driving
Today was beautiful. I had the day off work, so I got Otto's bike helmet out and adjusted the straps, dragged the Burley Cub that Jen is lending us out of the basement, went to hook it up to my bike for our first ride together, and discovered that because my cruiser has coaster brakes, I can't hitch the trailer to it. Argh! So, I do need to get a second bike after all. We looked at a few different shops in town, and it looks like the best way to go is a cheap new bike from Target with a professional tune-up right away. I think I'm going to be able to get away with spending less than $150 total, which is way less than buying the trailer would have been, and WAY less than getting a second car. We're going bike shopping tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Otto was having fun playing in the yard while I was failing to hook up the trailer. Here he is modeling some bad behavior.
