Book a fortnight challenge books 33-36

Right Books 33 through 36 were The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman, Grave Sight and Grave Surprise by Charlaine Harris.

I know what I said in my previous post about the books I was going to read but then I was in Waterstones in Wrexham and I kind of tripped and fell and picked up The Graveyard book by Neil Gaiman as well as American Gods.

So it kind of zoomed to the top of the reading list and I devoured it in a matter of hours...

I highly recommend everyone read the Graveyard book, I loved it so very much. Neil Gaiman has a way with words that is just so wonderful. I wish I had one fifth of his dexterity with words and could paint pictures the way that he does. Also you have to read this book for the character Silas. Silas is just the most amazing character I've come across in fiction in a long time.

Books 34 and 35 have been the Harper Connelly novels. They are supernatural based stories. Harper is a survivor of a lightning strike and since then she's been able to sense the dead and their cause of death. Where the Sookie Stackhouse novels for the most part are frothy, these are less fun. They are still absorbing but I miss the humour that seems to be more aboud in the other novels.

Book 36 is An Ice cold grave, the third in the series. After that I was going to start on the Kelley Armstrong novels but Terry Pratchett has just had the latest Tiffany Aching Discworld novel: I shall Wear Midnight so I will probably read that one next as I love the Tiffany Aching novels and its been a good while since Wintersmith.
