greetings from Seattle
OMG HELLO LJ. This will be a short post - just wanted to say that I'm alive (yay!) and in Seattle. I got here late Wednesday night, and am staying at jarrow and greensilver's place until Monday morning when I return to Chicago. We've had an amazing time so far! For John's birthday on Thursday we went out to dinner with Jen, sdwolfpup, brynnmck, mlyn, and assorted other friends and roommates of John, and everyone got along and the food was fantastic and the conversation was even better. And we also went by his workplace during the day and met some of his coworkers. We've wandered downtown Seattle a bit, watched some due South with Jen, visited a nearby park. And this morning I met up with my best friend from high school who now lives in Seattle and whom I hadn't talked to in a decade, but we still get along fabulously and we're gonna see each other again as soon as we can. And I have almost two more days here to look forward to!
I just ... I'm trying to put into words how unbelievably happy I am right now, but English is failing me at the moment and I can't explain properly. This is the first time John and I have actually *seen* each other since we started dating; it's been entirely long-distance til now. And we've both been a little anxious and hesitant because, well, we didn't know if it would really work out. As it turns out, we had NO reason to worry. \o/ Every single moment with him has been one of the best moments of my life. He's kind and hilarious and talented and intelligent and gorgeous, and I KNEW that he was absolutely wonderful before I came here, or at least I thought I knew. And then I saw him on Wednesday and he blew me away with just how incredible he really is, and I am SO thankful every second of every day that he is a part of my life. I've had the best time here with him, and we just ... click. So well. I can't say enough great things about him. He makes me so very happy. Thank you, John. ♥
