(no subject)
winter break is almost over. i don't know how i feel about this. i'm excited to go back to nyc. but i need to change how i am living there and stop being a lazy ass.
i also am sorta excited for my classes even though it is sad they are the last ones i am taking for a while. i have been in school for 17 years now every year for most of the year, and more than that if you count preschool. i mean it is crazy to change what you have been doing for the last so many years, well, basically my entire life. anyway, i obsess.
lets see...what have i been up to/
went to indiana...became whiny baby and came home one day early by myself.
came back to philly and hung out for a little, went to ithaca to go to court with h, came back to philly, went on a cruise, and here i am again, a couple of days and i'll be back in nyc.
the cruise was really crazy...i'm putting up pics right now to look at...but the places we went were really awesome, but you couldn't really spend any time there, and most of them were just tourist traps to the extreme. like really extreme. one port was only for cruise ships to stop at, not even any hotels, just like a pool and bar and shops, that was the entire damned place!
people on the boat generally sucked too and were often racist, xenophobic, or just obnoxious. but i met one cool friend who kinda saved the day and we got drunk and mocked the rest of the crazies as well as doing stuff like trying to climb stupid shit on the boat, playing in the really strong wind, seeing an r-rated hypnotist, etc. barhopping, and spending hours trying to track someone down to buy cigarettes so it wouldn't show up on our parents credit cards when they get the itemized list of what was bought...and you weren't allowed to use cash on the boat...huh?
and we got to go snorkeling, and zip lining, and to play with stingrays, and to lots of mayan ruins, and some cities. twas very cool.
some of belize was just like accra, it was fucking crazy how similar some of the stuff was. the open gutters and "fast food" places, and little shacks to buy stuff at, etc. and intense bargaining and ripping off tourists. but also colors etc. just a vibe.
ahh anyway, gonna go get a drink with the rents!

oh yeah. i also have at least semi-resolved most of my problems from the summer within the last couple of weeks...i finally got my car fully fixed from the stupid accident i had this summer and have been harassed about for a really long time by my mother, my friend is doing well with his health shit, and my health shit seems to be clearing up as well. whoo! hopefully it will all fully resolve soon.
