general blogging question
so having made an attempt to change the general format of my blog, making it more topical and discussion oriented as opposed to strictly diary-worthy musings and recounting of banal details of life, i'm interested in having people actually read it, beyond just my circle of existing lj friends. having no experience with this, how does one go about getting readership for a blog? am i better off moving my business over to blogspot (most of the blogs i read that aren't independent domains seem to be housed there) or can i accomplish the same goals here on lj? is it about where you blog or about linking to other blogs or is there another step i'm missing?
