things are crazy and busy, but i think overall good
been taking chemistry and biology at a community college in manhattan. bio is cake, just got a 103 on last week's test, but chem is kicking my ass, mainly because i haven't the time to devote to proper studying and practicing of my maths skills.
finished my nursing assistant coursework, complete with a week in a low-income nursing home. terrifying shit goes on there. suffice to say i will be trying to work in an actual hospital rather than anything resembling the place i interned. still no word on what happens for me to take the state exam so i can be certified to actually get said job.
still working full time at the gym (hence the complete lack of time, seeing as how i generally average one day off every 3 weeks between school and work), and things are madness. i've been promoted to personnel manager (essentially HR except i can't be that for the time being because of some political crap that hopefully will be gone in the next few months.) we've just interviewed for a new GM, who will be fucking amazing if he takes the job for the money they're offering. meanwhile the current GM is sitting around with his thumb up his ass, meaning that myself and one or two others are basically running the gym right now. methinks this means i deserve a raise when the smoke clears. At least half of our admin/managerial staff is turning over in the next 3 months (some voluntarily, some not) so things are really insane, but it's kind of exciting at the same time. i just wish i had some fucking time off to savor it all and maybe rest once every few weeks.
so ready for the semester to end next month, from now on i'll only take one class at a time, this schedule is too intense for me. i was not built for 60-70 hour weeks! but i'm hanging in, i'm sorry i haven't had the time to so much as check in and read. hopefully that will change soon.
