my fat is not a metabolic disorder
my fat is not a failing of will
my fat does not mean that i am lazy
my fat does not mean i am a glutton
my fat does not give you permission to treat me badly
my fat does not give you permission to disrespect me

I am not uppity because I respect myself
It is not wrong to love myself fat or thin
I married myself in sickness and in health
for richer or poorer as long as i live
Why is it only alright to add the "love and cherish"
when you are one hundred and twenty-five pounds?
Why offer someone else more than what you offer yourself?

you are stuck with yourself from the moment you exit your mother
'til the moment you quit this mortal coil
with only brief comminglings with others
be giddy inlove with yourself and someone will become giddy inlove
with you
they will figure that if you are this happy by yourself
that they want to travel in time for you for a while
if you are happy they think you
will make them happy
