The carrier was the one who flew us to and from Bangkok/Suratthani/Changmai 2-3 months ago. A bit of a wakeup call for travelling during the monsoon.
If the storm that drove the plane down was the precursor of the one that hit here at midnight last night, it would have been insane to try to land in it - by the time it got to us, the storm was still thrashing the roofs.
