A WEEK WORTH OF UPDATES ON ME AND MY LIFE;)
Wednesday;
Mum and I went to the Christmas Concert with the trumpet player Per Nielsen at The Church of Our Lady. It was arranged by the Cancer Foundation, and it was a great success.
We both bought the new Christmas cd when we arrived as we wanted to make sure we got it;)
We had two hours with the most wonderful Christmas carols and songs, got to sing some our selves and just enjoying how wonderful the music sounds at the Church.
Afterwards Per Nielsen was giving autographs on cd´s and Mum turned into a true fan girl, got into the queue and got both our tickets signed;)

Thursday;
That was the day for bringing out Advent presents. First we went to my sister and gave her the presents for Rebecca and Benedicte.
We had coffee and heard about her new job (five month in a new firm) and the degree she is getting now. She and the girls will spend Christmas with her ex-MIL, and her new boyfriend. When MIL leaves, they will go to Copenhagen with boyfriend. So going from “I have no one to spend Christmas with and that is so hard on the girls”, where Mum and I made plans for Christmas for them, it is now “I have made plans for the entire Christmas and do not have time for you two”…..
We left after an hour and went to one of Mums oldest friends. I bought my second ever cat from her;)
She got breast cancer 10+ years ago and was sure she would die, and Mum promised her, that as long as she was here she would get Advent presents. We had more coffee and waffles and talked about families and the fact that she has problems with both her children and don’t get to see her two grandkids…sounds familiar?
Friday;
That was the day we were going to Christmas Night with Sarah, Thea and Bro and SIL….only thing was; it was raining SO hard…After phone calls back and forth, we decided to meet up at Mums and then my Bro and SIL would buy Chinese Take Away and we could eat together and have an enjoyable evening….we had a great time, with Sarah and Thea being the centre of attention…

Saturday;
That was dads birthday, he would have turned 67 and would be an official Old Age Person wit ha pension;) He had looked forward to that…
Mum had decided the she and her would celebrate alone, as my siblings never goes to the grave or talks about Dad.
The same day, the Church and the Scouts had their annual Christmas sale, so we went there first.
Mum bought another Berenguer Doll for her collection, it was dressed in Christmas clothes and really cute.
After that we went to the cemetery with a beautiful floral centrepiece that I am sure Dad would have loved…
In the evening I went to Mums for Birthday Dinner. We had Duck with the trimmings, like Dad would have liked…
It was a nice dinner, we ate and talked about Dad, nice and funny stories….
Sunday;
That was The First Advent Sunday. Mum came over for SPN and then coffee and buns and presents. We both enjoyed SPN and Mum was being all Poirot and guessed the stuff with the sandwiches and the possessed people.
Then we had coffee and exchanged presents. I gave Mum a Christmas cd The Gregorian Chants. I got a gift card for a Theodore Build a bear, YAY;) He is my favourite from Alvin and the Chipmunks;)
I will get a Build A Bear Theodore;)
We made some jewellery before Mum went home.
The same day we had the worst Storm/Hurricane in Ten years…We had winds on 39m/sek. So we did not go outside if we didn’t have to.
Our Towns pride and joy, the Christmas Tree in town that we get every year from our Friendship Town in Norway, Frederiksstad, broke in two…the council is now working on getting another tree.
Fortunately the internet survived..So I got to see Steve Carlson at the Stageit. Concert at 11.00PM…
It was an amazing concert..I am so happy that he is making concerts like this, makes me feel less out with all of you guys going to an actual concert..
As I am a pathetic girl, I took pictures of my PC screen as I wanted some ”concert pictures” of my own;
Please be nice, they are taken with an ordinary digital camera from my PC screen..
Monday;
Yesterday Mum and I went to Toys`R`Us to buy a present for Thea, then I went to Build-A-Bear and bought two gift certificates for Sarah and Thea. Then they get a little soft Toy, an actual Build-A-Bear and clothes for it. I know they want that, only Sarah says it is a secret from their parents, as they think they have enough soft toys.
We then went to the apothecary as I needed more medication and then to the post office to mail another batch of your presents;)
Today:
I’m not up to speed with anything today..My LJ is breaking down, I didn’t get any sleep last night as I was not doing that well. So I wrote another batch of Christmas cards and presents and went to the post office.
I invited Mum up for dinner tomorrow, as she will be taking Rebecca and Benedicte to the film club in the afternoon.
Otherwise I am sending out CHristmas cards and Presents for you..let me know when they arrive..I will PM you when I send them.
Next Wednesday I´m going to the hospital in Hjørring - 50 km north of Aalborg where I live - for my mammogram.......
So I guess this is my exiting life so far…
If any of you think that I do not have your name and address for a card and present please send it to me. I really try to keep up with all of you, but just in case let me know .
