Update from Monday…
Monday I was asked out for dinner at one of the “girls” that I went to school with in 2005, when we became care helpers.
Some of you know Berit, Bente and Anni, my Three Musketeers and friends..
I haven’t seen them for almost 9 months, with everything that happened last year, but now Berit invited and I was so glad to see them again.
We spend the evening, talking and talking and talking..and made another appointment at Annis next time.
Tuesday I had an appointment with the Union. I had been a member of different Unions for almost 20 years, since I got my first “real” job.
They have changed as I have changed jobs, but I was always a member.
As I am on Disability Pension from May this year, I cannot be a member anymore, so I had to go work out a few things.
I have been paying to Early Retirement for 12 years, so I was to be paid back for that. After I paid 30% in taxes;) but still it is around 43000kr( ca.5733 Euro) so it is nice money to have.
Later that day Sarah arrived to stay for a few days.
We worked on the doll house, watched “The Royal” as that is Sarah’s favourite show now, made burgers for dinner and watched Disney Channel.

Wednesday we went to the movies and watched “RIO”. that is a great movie I have to say. Funny thing we met Rebecca and Benedicte, they were with one of my sisters friends and were gonna see the same movie.

After the movie we walked around the mall and Sarah bought a few things there, chewing bones for Balder and a hairbrush for herself. We went grocery shopping and then went to Sarah’s favourite second hand store; where we ended up buying two wine glasses and two pillow cases for Sammy and Jensen’s bed.
Back home we relaxed, and watched “The Royal”. The mail had brought me the SPN pictures that I had bought on eBay for my birthday money, so I was extra happy.

Then Sarah wanted to visit Grandma. So we went and picked some daffodils and went to see Mum. Sarah had picked two SPN pics for Mum so Balder wasn’t the only one getting presents;)
We watched “Mrs. Santa Clause” before bed. Sarah loves that musical and could not wait until next Christmas to watch it;)
Thursday had amazing weather so we went to the playground for four hours.
Jensen watching Tom and Jerry with us;)
We also sat on a bench and had some pretty serious talking…Sarah telling me how scared she was 3 years ago, when I had cancer. How scared she was every time the telephone rang, she was afraid Mum called to say I was dead.
She asked me; “Promise me you will not die before I am an adult”, and all I could say was “I promise”. I told her to call me anytime she needed, if she wanted to ask something or just say hi…..she sometimes hear things that her parents wont or cant explain, so she usual call me and I don’t want her to stop that.

Then we went grocery shopping - mostly fun stuff that Sarah needed - went home and played a game.
As it was Easter Sarah wanted to do something that was true to Easter so we baked a Matzo…(we are not Jewish and does not tend to offend anyone)

We ate some with our Turkish dinner - fries and beef roles with feta and salad - and Sarah decorated one to take home.

My brother picked up Sarah early Friday - 9.15 am..which is early here so we had to be up even earlier.
But when I got up 7.30 as arranged, Sarah had been up and made breakfast for us.
She made the table, put everything on a tray and made soft boiled eggs, that we get every morning when she is here, as she never gets that at home, made coffee for me, she was sooo proud..all I had to do was cut the bread and take my pills;)
We had a great morning with movies and breakfast until my brother arrived and picked her up.
I then cleaned, washed and went for a nap, as I needed that and haven’t gotten one for the past three days;)
Sarah had a great vacation and that is the most important thing.
