books and books and other media oh my!
Last night I finished uploading the books and media I own tomy list at Frazy.com! There are a ton of books, TONS of music stuff missing and I haven't figured out a way to be able to add to their database so...anyway yeah, it makes me all tingly inside :D Even better, I'm now uploading all said books from frazy to LibaryThing which I really like that service...I have 74 new books in the queue waiting to upload at lib. thing and I'm so exited it's nuts!!
Why am I so in love with BOOKS?!?!! Don't answer that..I want to...lick them..JK...hahaha mwahahhaa, ok, I admit I am a fan of flipping through the pages to smell that new book smell etc. yeah, I'm book huffing girl, I try to hide it pretending I'm flipping through the whole book but yeah, I'm huffing pages that's me in the corner, that me in the spotlight, sniffing my book pages....oh no I've said too much... :P
So much of my stuff couldn't be found :( I still have a lot to do at lib. thing finding stuff as they can find stuff frazy can't, then adding tags etc, and the big thing is the cover art, having to change that...oh yeah ;) I'm anal retentive when it comes to my books. The thing is, I'm not sure it's all that an accurate reflection of what I've read as much as it is a general interest really. You can't judge what I know or what I find 'valid' or 'trustworthy' interpretation by what is currently on my shelf...perhaps a "have read" lib.thing shelf would be of better use for that...and makes sense as a log...but I feel it's a bit late to start now. I have a lot of fluffy books I don't agree with on my shelf, wild and crazy ideas, and some that I do agree with...I think I've gotten to a point where most of my books are unread...which....I think is a good thing, the ones I've read and don't need to ref. all the time I didn't need to lug around with me. These are heavy enough!
