Trying my first MFU story
I have started writing an MFU story and in doing so am trying something new for me (not just the MFU part) hence my question. I find that I'm structuring a lot of this as flashback. I have a beginning and a middle and then a long ending where our hero is being tortured. Events in the torture remind him of events during his early years at UNCLE.
So my long question has to do with the awkwardness of this. I don't want to put all of the flashback stuff in italics. I feel that if you can't tell its a flashback from the context the italics is sort of a cheat. Do you all think this much flashback (there would be several long episodes) is just too...twee?
