so after extensive internet research I have decided that when family members are seen on campus it should not be awkward. Especially if it's something as silly a a little five year gap. No that I've finished what I was saying I'll start telling my story from the beginning. So I saw one of my cousin's today on campus. It was kinda fun because I hadn't ever seen him before and I'm on campus alot. For those of you who know my family it was my aunt debbie's son Louie. I've never really hung out with louie or talked to him alot or anything like that. He never really comes to alot of family gatherings and he seems like he is relaxed around anyone. Its in this way that he is like my brother. Anyway so I saw him today when I was going to one of my classes. He didn't see me so I was just going to walk on by and not say anything, you know spare myself the embarrasment of haveing to come up with something to say. This unfortunately was not what I in real life actually did.
"hey Louie how's it goin'?" I asked thinking that it would be cool to sit and talk to him for a litle while even though iin the back of my head I knew that we would have nothing of actual interst to talk about. This didn't stop me from asking question that can only be classified as small talk questions. How are you doing? what are classes are you taking? where are you headed right now? All these question lead to short unreciprocated answers and the a very dull very awkward goodbye. I don't this is how family should react. I mean for christ's sake we're first cousin. I think that i"m going to make a conscious effort to fix that in the near future. And now that I"m getting werid stares from my teacher I think thats the end of this post.
