I feel like today has been a big waste of time. After class, I ate lunch and came to the library intending to finish this presentation I have due tomorrow. 3 hours later and it is still not done. Granted, I did talk to a friend in here and figure out my emissions stuff, but still. 3 freaking hours and this 5-7 min presentation is still not done! Argh!!! Much less having to practice giving it at least once or twice to make sure I am not over the time limit.
Also, let me say it makes no sense to me why every state in the US has emissions testing. I never realized it was so regional until this year. And why do neighboring states only have testing centers in specific counties which are as far away from MI as possible? I'll tell you why-it's because obviously people avoid MI like the plague thus negating the need of having these emissions testing centers. So the "closest" places were 3 hours away in Indiana (cause their testing centers closest to me are in NW Indiana) and 2 hours away in NE Ohio. Obviously I am driving to Amherst, OH. And Ohio first makes me get a voucher to do this, which will cost $18. But I have to mail them the check first, then I have to wait for them to UPS me the voucher. Then I can drive the 2 hour and 15 min drive and get it done just to drive back. Oh, and don't ask when I will do this being they are open 8 am-6 pm M-F and 8 am-1 pm on Saturday. I'll just have to leave super early. So yeah, 4 hours round trip of driving for a 10 min test. Thanks Michigan for being a super un-environmentally friendly state.
I think I am going to pack up my computer and move to the coffee shop. I need caffeine and a change of scenery.
